One of the faculty members of the Department of Animal Production and Technologies of our university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Dilek Kabakcı has been accepted as a working group member in the action titled “Nutritional and medicinal properties of Honey and by-products: Quality Criteria in motion”.
This comprehensive action addresses the nutritional and medicinal properties of honey and honey products, as well as the following important issues
1. Biomonitoring of environmental stressors or anthropogenic pollutants,
2. Evaluation of common diseases and biotic stress factors threatening bee colonies,
3. The role of bees as pollinators in agroecosystems and consequences of colony losses,
4. EU policies, security practices and market analysis of the honey value chain.
The acceptance of Dr. Kabakcı as a working group member within the scope of this project once again demonstrates the effectiveness and academic achievements of our university in international scientific collaborations. We congratulate Dr. Kabakcı for taking part in this prestigious action and wish him success in his work.
