Students of the Animal Science Club at Muş Alparslan University Faculty of Applied Sciences Successfully Represented Our University at the 18th National Animal Science Student Congress

Students from Muş Alparslan University Faculty of Applied Sciences successfully represented our university by participating in the 18th National Animal Science Student Congress held in Kuşadası from May 14 to 16, 2025, hosted by Aydın Adnan Menderes University.

The participation in the congress was carried out within the scope of the project titled “Academic Journey of Animal Science Students,” supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the ÜNİDES (University Student Communities Cooperation and Support Program). Our students contributed to the congress with oral and poster presentations, receiving great appreciation for their scientific studies while gaining the opportunity to follow current developments and engage in academic exchanges in the field of animal science.

Among the community members, Helen NERGİS attracted attention with her oral presentation entitled “Strategic Value of Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia L.) as a Sustainable Feed Source in Ruminant Nutrition.” This study, prepared by Helen NERGİS, Yusuf GÜNEŞ, and Rumeysa KIRLAR, scientifically examined the environmental and economic contributions of sainfoin as an alternative feed resource in livestock.

Community advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya HANOĞLU ORAL emphasized that participation in such scientific events significantly contributes to the academic competence and professional skills development of students. She also expressed gratitude to Muş Alparslan University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa ALİCAN and Faculty of Applied Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Yunus Levent EKİNCİ for their valuable support in realizing this process.
